This Department, which presently consists of one person, is designed as a
central resource to support church planning by central consultative groups
as well as by parishes, their councils, and administrative staff. The aim is
to collaborate with those pastoral leaders who choose to strategically
design and build prophetically toward—rather than stumble into—the future as
resilient communities of faith.
The
Director’s duties are to:
o
Assist three appointed consultative groups
o
Publicize and promote new plan, “Our Call to Holiness.”
o
Spot systemic problems and suggest responses.
o
Support council and board leadership. Recruit new members.
o
Organize workshops, resources for finance and parish
councils.
o
Collaborate with the Cathedral and other Chancery Departments.
o
Report to the Vicar General.
