Management Information Systems (MIS)

The primary mission of the MIS Dept. is to maintain and upgrade the different information systems--computers, Internet, databases--which support the work of the three central Chancery offices.

The MIS department has upgraded and standardized the use of computers at the central chancery offices building a unified network that allows more efficient sharing of information between departments. MIS has also established a network that connects diocesan offices with parishes, schools, and other sites.

A growing area of service for MIS is establishing the necessary tools to enable diocesan departments to utilize the emerging communication advantages of the Internet and the World Wide Web, improving information networking between the parishes and the Chancery.
