Diocesan Youth Retreat Center

Built in the early 1900’s originally as a weekend home to the Haviside family, the Diocesan Youth Retreat Center opened its doors to the youth in the diocese in October 1984. Located on the hill above Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Lafayette, it is the only retreat center in the Bay Area specifically for youth. It provides a place for Junior High and High School students to meet and reflect on their spiritual life. The facilities accommodate weekend, overnight and one day retreats. The retreat center has swimming pool facilities (during the summer months), hiking trails to Briones Regional Park and a play field for sports.
