Rite of Election

Rite of Election 2015

Online Registration will begin on December 1st, 2014

 

There will be three Rites of Election presided over by Bishop Michael Barber, S.J. All Rites of Election will take place at the Cathedral of Christ the Light. The first will be on Saturday, February 21st at 2:00 p.m. (in Spanish) and on Sunday, February 22nd at 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.

 

Dear RCIA Coordinator,

Who may attend the Rite of Election?

Those who will be receiving sacraments at the 2015 Easter Vigil

  • Catechumens, unbaptized adults
  • Adult candidates baptized in another denomination
  • Baptized, uncatechized adult Catholics
  • Unbaptized children ages 7-17

Who does not attend the Rite of Election?

  • Children who are already baptized
  • High school-aged confirmandi

It is important that you know about the following: Book of the Elect, who signs it, the need of a folder for the calling of the candidates, the flow of the Rite and what to expect.  Please contact me as soon as possible if you have questions.
