Golden Anniversary Jubilee Mass
The 50th Anniversary Jubilee Mass at the Cathedral on August 22 was a joyous occasion. All 84 parishes were well represented and the parish banner procession was a highlight. The Mass was concelebrated by Bishop Emeritus Cummins, Archbishop Vigneron and Archbishop-designate Cordileone. Listen to Archbishop Vigneron's homily here. At the reception after Mass a flash mob of 50+ students from Moreau Catholic High School broke out with a stirring dance that delighted the crowd on the Plaza. A video of the flash mob can be seen on the Cathedral website, www.ctlcathedral.org, or click here.

Wedding Anniversary Mass, October 21
As part of the Diocese of Oakland's 50th anniversary celebration, over 150 couples - cumulatively representing over 6700 years of marriage - renewed their wedding vows at the Cathedral of Christ the Light on Sunday, October 21. More than 40 of the couples were celebrating 50 years or more of marriage, and a total of nearly 800 people were in attendance. The organizers hope to make this an annual event.
