Regina Mundi
The Regina Mundi Society
Nor do they light a lamp and then put it under a bushel basket;
it is set on a lampstand, where it gives light to all in the house.
Just so, your light must shine before others,
that they may see your good deeds and glorify your heavenly Father."
Matthew 5:15-1
History of the Regina Mundi Society
Bishop Cummins established the Regina Mundi Society of the Bishop's Appeal in 1995 as a means to recognize and encourage leadership in support of our Diocesan ministries.
Named for Our Lady, Queen of the World, primary patroness of our Diocese, the Society sets an example of service and generosity for people throughout Alameda and Contra Costa Counties. The Regina Mundi Society has grown with 44 new members!
Membership Benefits
Regina Mundi Members will receive:
- New members receive a Regina Mundi Society membership pin and member welcome letter from Bishop Cordileone
- Acknowledgement letter from Bishop Cordileone for donation
- Invitations to any Bishop Appeal and Diocesan special events, such as, but not limited to, the Annual Mass of Thanksgiving
- Mass intention recognition on the Feast of Our Lady Queen of the World, our Diocesan patron saint
Join the Regina Mundi Society
The Society asks a high degree of commitment from its members, as together we serve the larger family that is the Church of Oakland. Members pledge to donate at least $1,000 per year to the Bishop's Appeal to foster the many worthwhile programs of our Diocese. If you are supporting Diocesan ministries directly rather than through the Bishop's Appeal (for example, Respect Life, Vocations, etc.) your donations may qualify for membership. Below are the levels of giving for the Regina Mundi Society.
