Welcome to FACE
Family Aid Catholic Education
Founded in 1978, FACE provides financial needs-based tuition grants to students who attend Catholic schools in the Oakland Diocese without regard to an applicant's religion, gender, ethnicity or citizenship. The Diocese of Oakland includes 44 elementary and 9 secondary schools throughout Alameda and Contra Costa counties.
FACE celebrates a history of supporting over 20,000 students in the last 33 years. Congratulations to the Class of 2011! Over 98% of 12th grade FACE recipients in the class of 2011 are going on to two and four-year colleges and universities.
FACE grants are made to qualified students, based on financial need. More than 540 students annually receive FACE assistance through the Diocese of Oakland's 44 elementary and 9 high schools. FACE applications are distributed through the Schools in early January.

FACE would like to thank it's dedicated auction committee, many volunteers, and generous supporters for making our annual Gala Auction a success! Over 400 guests gathered at the Blackhawk Museum in Danville to celebrate and support tuition assistance for Family Aid- Catholic Education. The evening included performances by the Bishop O'Dowd Jazz Combo and the McBride School of Irish Dancing. Bob Sarlatte served as Emcee and Auctioneer keeping the crowd entertained and the bidding high. FACE is proud to announce the evening raised $550,000 for direct tuition assistance for low income families who need access to the life changing empowerment of a Catholic education. Thank you for your support!
