Welcome to FACE
Family Aid Catholic Education
Founded in 1978, FACE provides financial needs-based tuition grants to students who attend Catholic schools in the Oakland Diocese without regard to an applicant's religion, gender, ethnicity or citizenship. The Diocese of Oakland includes 44 elementary and 9 secondary schools throughout Alameda and Contra Costa counties.
FACE celebrates a history of supporting over 20,000 students in the last 33 years. Congratulations to the Class of 2011! Over 98% of 12th grade FACE recipients in the class of 2011 are going on to two and four-year colleges and universities.
FACE grants are made to qualified students, based on financial need. More than 640 students annually receive FACE assistance through the Diocese of Oakland's 44 elementary and 9 high schools. FACE applications are distributed through the Schools in early January.
