The Catholic Housing Initiative of the East Bay is a collaborative effort of the Diocese of Oakland Social Justice Resource Office, Catholic Charities of the East Bay, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, and a network of faith communities.

Thus far we have:
... Met with housing advocates, theologians, pastors, and parish leaders
... Identified the issues related to the housing crisis in each region of the diocese,
... Surfaced some potential action steps that parishes and individuals can take to address the crisis in their area.
... Identified possible technical advisors for parish teams
... Begun to compile the resources that parishes will need to respond to the Bishop's call
