ELEMENTARY SCHOOL PRINCIPAL POSITIONS
FOR THE 2010-2011 SCHOOL YEAR:
We are in the process of recruiting administrators for elementary schools of the Oakland Diocese for the school year 2010-2011.
The Oakland Diocese includes 48 elementary schools, 1 Kindergarten and 9 secondary schools throughout Alameda and Contra Costa counties.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must be Catholic, committed to Catholic Education, capable of providing spiritual leadership to the school community, have five years catholic teaching experience in grades K-12, a California Teaching Credential, completion of or enrollment in an administrative program. Candidate must complete application, fulfill personnel file procedures, and establish qualifications in a personal interview with the Director of Human Resources and Superintendent of Schools for the Diocese.

SALARY AND BENEFITS:
Placement on Diocesan Salary Scale based on experience, graduate education, and credentials. Benefits include employee medical and dental/vision health insurance; retirement; sick leave; disability, social security, and unemployment insurance.

TIME LINE: 
Resumes due as soon as possible.  Application process must be completed by December 15, 2009, unless otherwise noted.  List of qualified candidates who have completed personnel procedures will be circulated to schools after that date.

 

ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST SCHOOL

EL CERRITO

 St. John the Baptist Parish Catholic School is a K through 8th grade school located in the city of El Cerrito in Alameda County serving the cities of El Cerrito, Berkeley, Albany and San Pablo.  St. John the Baptist School enrolls 255 students with  a professional staff of 27.  Before and after school Extended Care is available, and the school is fully accredited by CEA/WASC. Candidates for principal must be active practicing Catholics, possess a California Teaching Credential and a California Administrative Credential or be enrolled in an Administrative Credential Program as well as have at least five years in Catholic educational teaching or administration.  The candidate must be able to provide spiritual, administrative and educational leadership for the school as well as be able to assume responsibility for the day- to- day administration including financial management.  Candidates are expected to take an active role as a member of the parish staff and work collaboratively with the Pastor and pastoral staff.  Excellent communication skills and enthusiasm for developing and maintaining a school with a strong Catholic identity and academic program are a must.

St. Raymond Catholic School is a K through 8th. Grade school located in the city of Dublin in Alameda County serving the cities of Dublin, San Ramon, Pleasanton and Danville.  St. Raymond School enrolls 287 students with a professional staff of 18 and is fully accredited by WCEA/WASC with before and after school Extended Care.
