Chancellor
The Chancellor supports the Bishop in his role as teacher and shepherd by working to provide a work environment that enables all employees and volunteers to witness faithfully to Christ and serve their neighbor to the best of their ability in the various ministries they perform.
The Chancellor is a member of the Bishop’s Administrative Council (BAC). The Office of the Chancellor maintains the archives, records, and official seal of the Diocese and prepares the following statistical and informational reports and publications:
- Official Catholic Directory
- Quinquennial Report
- Other statistical data as requested by various outside agencies
The Chancellor is responsible for all correspondence regarding clergy assignments and maintains official files for all priests who serve or have served in the Diocese. The Chancellor supports all immigration services for priests and seminarians sponsored by the Diocese.
The Chancellor supervises the following departments:
- Department of Catholic Schools
- Department of Evangelization and Catechesis (DEC)
- Catholic Youth Organization (CYO)
- Human Resources Office, including the Safe Environment Program
- Diocesan Archivist
