Upcoming Events

Below you will find opportunities to complete continuing faith formation hours. They are considered advanced because they go beyond the basic level. Previous faith formation recommended but not required.

They are:

1.) Certificate in Social Ministry (Catholic Social Teaching)
2.) Certificate in Theology of the Body
3.) Advanced Sacraments and Advanced Christian Prayer
4.) Principles of Evangelization/Catechesis & Teaching Seminar

For those considering Master Catechist Certification: If you have no previous faith formation and are interested in Master Catechist Certification, then it is highly recommended that you enroll in SPM. If you have some previous faith formation experience, then it is highly recommended that you register for either 3 or 4 above.

If you are unsure of what to take, please contact me via email (not telephone call) at dpurificacion@oakdiocese.org and provide me with a brief list of your previous faith formation courses so that I can evaluate and make recommendations for your particular next steps. As always, completing the courses above only partially fulfill requirements for certification.

The offerings are subject to sufficient enrollment, so it is important to please register by January 14. Very limited financial assistance available. Below you will find further details and dates.
