Year for Priests

On June 19, 2009 we celebrated the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and it also kicked off the Year of the Priest! Benedict XVI designated this Year of the Priest to “deepen the commitment of all priests to interior renewal for the sake of a more forceful and incisive witness to the Gospel in today’s world.” He also acknowledged that Saint John Vianney is the patron saint of all priests and a model for the priesthood.
