On January 13, 2004, Bishop Allen H. Vigneron
publicly apologized to the parish community of St. Ignatius, Antioch, for
the clerical misconduct of Robert Poncirolli, “…and to the specific point
of our gathering this evening, I apologize to and ask the pardon of the
parish community of St. Ignatius for the acts of clerical sexual abuse of
minors that occurred here, in particular I come to this church tonight to
apologize for the betrayal of your trust by Robert Poncirolli. For all

On February 5, 2004, Bishop Allen H. Vigneron publicly apologized to the
parish community of St. Philip Neri, Alameda, for the clerical misconduct of

for the acts of clerical sexual abuse of minors that occurred here, in

clerical misconduct of George Francis. At this service the Bishop publicly
