Apology Service for January 2006
Bishop Allen H. Vigneron publicly apologized to the parish community of Church of the Good Shepherd Parish in Pittsburg, for the clerical misconduct of Robert Freitas and Steven Kiesle on Tuesday, January 24, 2006 at 7:30 P.M. “ …and to the specific point of our gathering this evening, I apologize to and ask the pardon of the parish community of St. Leander for the acts of clerical sexual abuse of minors that occurred here, in particular I come to this church tonight to apologize for the betrayal of your trust by Robert Frietas and Steven Kiesle.  For all this, I ask pardon.” Bishop Allen H. Apology Service for February 2006
Bishop Allen H. Vigneron publicly apologized to the parish community of St. Joachim in Hayward, for the clerical misconduct of Donald Broderson and Tarcisio Lanuevo on Tuesday, February 7, 2006, at 7:30 p.m.  “…  As to the specific point of our gathering this evening, I apologize to and ask the pardon of the parish community of St. Joachim for the criminal acts of sexual abuse of minors that occurred here.  In particular, I come to this church tonight to apologize for the betrayal of your trust by Donald Broderson and Tarcisio Lanuevo.  For all this, I ask pardon.”  Bishop Allen H. Apology Service for March 2006
Bishop Allen H. Vigneron publicly apologized to the members of the Diocese of Oakland for all of the clergy sexual misconduct that had taken place in the Diocese of Oakland.  He did this at St. Raymond’s Parish in Dublin on March 28, 2006, at 7:30 p.m.  At that time, all priests, incardinated in the diocese, who were responsible for sexual misconduct of minors were publicly named.  All of the institutions and parishes where sexual abuse of minors occurred within the geographical area of the Diocese of Oakland were also named.
