Celebration of Scouting

Annual "Celebration of Scouting" at the Cathedral of Christ the Light is Announced!

Scouts from around the Oakland Diocese will gather at the Cathedral of Christ the Light, on Saturday, January 31, for the annual "Celebration of Scouting.". All young people in scouting programs, along with their leaders and families are welcome and invited to attend. There will be a  prayer service honored scouts along with the preseentation of scout and adult awards. Scouts should assemble at 1:00 p.m. and the Celebration begins at 1:30 p.m.

What is the Celebration of Scouting?


The annual "Celebration of Scouting" is a prayer service honoring all scouts and their leaders in the Oakland Diocese. Religious awards earned during the year are presented at the Celebration. Scout groups are invited to process into the Cathedral with their banner or flag.
