Celebration of Scouting
Oakland Diocese Scouts at the Cathedral of Christ the Light for the annual "Celebration of Scouting"
Scouts from around the Oakland Diocese gathered at the Cathedral of Christ the Light for the annual "Celebration of Scouting" on Saturday, February 8. With the theme of "Loving God and One Another in All That We Do!", the prayer service honored scouts, scout leaders and scout families. Religious awards earned by scouts this past year were presented by Father Ken Nobrega, Diocesan Scout Chaplain, who presided at the service. Special guest was Father Stanislaw Zak, pastor of St. Margaret Mary and National Chaplain for Polish scouts.
