2014 CYO Athletic Directors Seminar
CYO Athletic Directors from around the diocese will meet on Saturday, September 13 at the Center for the Deaf, Hayward for the annual Seminar. The day will feature a Celebration of the Eucharist and group discussions focusing on Living and Enforcing Good Sportsmanship in our CYO programs.

In accordance with a new state law, all parents/guardians and players must complete and return to the athletic director a Concussion Awareness Sheet. The sheet gives the parent and athlete information on concussions and also has the concussion policy regarding return of the player to participation.

The parish athletic director is responsible for the overall conduct of the parish CYO athletic program. She/he is responsible to the pastor and/or the Catholic school principal. All parishes/schools participating in the CYO program must have an athletic director who has been appointed by the pastor and/or principal.
Athletic directors will receive information from the Diocesan CYO Office and their leagues. They are responsible for disseminating this information to their parish programs.
