Taylor Turner Awarded First Mission Valley Section 3 Scholarship

Taylor Turner from St. Anne Parish,Union City, has been awarded the first Mission Valley Section 3 Scholarship.  The scholarship was modeled after the "Marty Mart Scholarship" awarded by the diocese, and is given to an outstanding 8th grade athlete from that track section on the basis of an understanding of Christian values that can be experienced through CYO sports.  In her scholarshop essay, Taylor wrote, "CYO is all about good sportsmanship, togetherness and bulding everybody up....Even though we may be from different parishes, we still come from one body. We are all from the body of Christ and come together to display our talents and help each other become more talented."
Congratulations Taylor, family and coaches!
