Girls' CYO Basketball Coaches Registration

This coming season, returning CYO Girls' Basketball coaches (certified in the 2021-2022 school year seasons) may be certified to coach in the 2023 season without attending a CYO Coaches Certificaton Workshop. This registratin form is ONLY for those who will be coaching in the SPRING 2023 girls' basketball in the western part of the diocese.

RETURNING COACHES CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To be certrified as a returning  coach, you must do thei following:

• Have been certified to coach in CYO for a 2021-2022 school year CYO sports season;
• Log in to youir page on the Virtus website to be sure that you have completed the training course after February 1, 2020 and have been cleared by the Diocese of Oakland through livescan fingerprinting.  Your page can be found on the Virtus website:  virtusonlne.org
• Download and read the 2022-2023 CYO Athletic Manual.  Click Here to Download CYO Athletic Manual
• Download and read the CYO COVID Policies: Click Here to Downooad the "Policies for the Participation in CYO Sports" and Click Here to Download the "CYO COVID Protocols"
• Complete and submit the form below to register as a CYO Coach

NEW COACHES: If you are a new coach, or you were not certified in 2019-2020 you must atteend a CYO Coaches Certification Workshop and be in compliance with diocesan Safe Environment requriements (Virtus training and Fingerprint clearance).  If you are a NEW CYO coach, do not complete this form.  Registration will be at the workshop. COMPLETING CERTIFICATION AND CERTIFICATIN CARDS: Once you submit this completed form and your eligibilty will be checked by CYO, your 2022-2023 Coaches Certification Card will be mailed to you. You are not considered to be a certified coach until you complete these requirements and receive your card.  You may not sit on a team bench until you receive your card.  Please allow time for processing!
