S. Rebecca J. Shinas, OP, a Dominican Sister of Mission San Jose, celebrates 45 years of vowed religious life devoted to awakening hearts through beauty, contemplation, music, art, movement, and JOY. An original painter and singer~songwriter, certified Spiritual Director, retreat facilitator, and accredited T’ai Chi Chih® teacher, she integrates embodied prayer, storytelling, and sacred listening into a unified ministry of healing love.

Rooted in the bold, vivid colors of her homeland, Santa Fe, New Mexico, she simply says, “I just love to paint God.”

This exhibition is more than an art show ~ it is an encounter. Through color and contemplative depth, her work invites healing, compassion, celebration, and awakening. Her creative ministry flows through both canvas and song, and her original music will gently accompany the exhibit throughout the day, including her newest single, Yes, Everyone Is Loved.

Original paintings are not for sale, as they continue to serve her ongoing spiritual ministry. Signed, matted prints (8×10 in 11×14 gallery-quality white-core mat) are available: $25 for one, $40 for two, $20 thereafter, or by free-will donation. Each print includes the story behind the painting. In person, she welcomes conversation and would be honored to personally sign a print on the back for you or for someone you love.
