The State of California mandates that all employees, both supervisory (2 hours) and non-supervisory (1 hour) Anti-harassment and abuse prevention training. “This training must include informational and practical guidance regarding state and federal law concerning the prohibition against, and the prevention and correction of sexual harassment and the remedies available to all victims of sexual harassment. The training must also include practical examples of harassment, discrimination and retaliation, as well as information about preventing abusive conduct and harassment based on sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression.”
The Diocese of Oakland is providing this online training to all employees, beginning immediately. Easy to complete spreadsheets were sent to all Diocesan locations in October and many of you have already sent your list of employees to us and have been assigned training. Completion of this training is due on December 15; so if you have not sent in your spreadsheets please do so today. Pastors, Parochial Administrators and Principals are ultimately responsible for the completion of this training by all employees at their location. We encourage you to collect the completion certificates and keep a hard copy in the employees personnel file.
Thanks in advance for your prompt attention and if you have completed your training thanks so much! Please send any questions and completed spreadsheets to:
