After six weeks of sand volleyball at Quarry Lakes Regional Park in Fremont, Boys' CYO Sand Volleyball concluded with a 17 team tournament..
The Sand Season began in late March and played each Sunday afternoon (Easter excepted) concluding in May with the annual tournament. After a two year pause due to CoVid, this outdoor sport featured lots of excitment on the sand courts with sun, sand and occasionally wind adding to the challenge of the sport. The season featured players and families picnicing in the park between matches.
Paula Garcia, Diocesan Sand Volleyball Coordinator, wrote: "I can describe the season in two words: Harmonious and Frendships. The players became friends and will remember this season as a two month camp where we picniced, shared food, laughed and enjoyed watching the players have fun all season long."
