St. Jerome and St. Paul CYO Serve Others

St. Jerome CYO (El Cerrito) and St. Paul CYO (San Pablo) teamed up recently to help elders in their community.  The CYO athletic directors, Jim Almeida and Joel Saeforng reported:
"St. Jerome and St. Paul CYO programs collaborated on a visit to Brookdale Sr. Home in San Pablo. There were 20 players(boys and girls), from 3-8th grade representing basketball and volleyball teams. Joining us were siblings, parents, and coaches(about 40 people total.) We made Christmas cards, Fruit Loop garlands, and table decorations. Then the children engaged the residents in lively conversation. Our CYO families brought cookies for all to snack on. We included a SVDP food and sock donation. It was worthwhile event for our children and the residents!"
