Even in uncertain times, the faithful in the Diocese of Oakland have been generous in their financial support of our important ministries. To date, the Bishop’s Appeal is just over $1,900,000 towards a goal of $3,000,000. We are very grateful.
The end of the year is traditionally when we see an uptick in gifts. We hope that is the case this year. The appeal is an annual gifting program and we appreciate gifts of all sizes when the donor can make them. A second gift is also nice! Support this important effort HERE.
To see how the funds collected are used, hear once again is Bishop Barber, SJ talking to each of us. He shares his thoughts HERE.
The Office for Mission Advancement also humbly asks you to consider a special gift to our Fund for Retired Priests. Those men who have served us all for so long, need our support in their well-earned retirement. Gifts can be mailed to the Diocese office or on line at www.oakdiocese.org/diocesan-donation (choose the Priest Retirement Second Collection on the drop down menu).
Thank you!
Giles Miller, Director of Major Gifts and Campaigns
