Youth Minister – Christ the King Parish, Pleasant Hill

Christ the King Church is in seeking a Youth Minister for our Faith Formation Team. The Youth Minister must lead by example, i.e., must be a practicing Catholic living in accord with the teachings of the Church and be committed to their personal growth in the faith.  The Youth Minister will assist with other sacramental and catechetical functions at the parish. He or she will be directly responsible for Youth Ministry activities that advance the mission of the church, such as:

  • Developing, implementing and overseeing Youth Group Activities
  • Coordinating youth liturgies, especially the Sunday youth mass
  • Developing and managing the digital presence of youth and young adult formation programs
  • Leading Confirmation catechesis and formation program for parish youth
  • Organizing and leading core team and youth peer leadership group 
  • Coordinating and developing  youth music ministry
  • Leading summer work camp activities
  • Fundraising
  • Participating in staff meetings and activities

The candidate will be part of a cross functioning Faith Formation team, giving to and receiving assistance from other Formation Team members. This is a full time position with benefits. Salary is commensurate with education and experience.

This is a full-time position which includes health benefits. Classification is M-1 according to the diocesan salary guidelines.

Director of Music Ministry - St. Patrick Parish, Oakland

St. Patrick in Oakland, CA is seeking for a Director of Music. This position, classified as M1.  St. Patrick is seeking for a talented music professional with excellent communication and organization skills, strong keyboard skills, vocal technique and choral conducting skills, knowledge of Catholic liturgy and familiarity with the Roman Missal and Lectionary. Bachelor’s Degree in Music or the equivalent in education and experience. The Music Director will develop and direct adult choir, utilizing volunteer singers. The Candidate will also be responsible for scheduling volunteer cantors. Participation is one Sunday Mass at 10:30 a.m., one weekly rehearsal, holy days, prayer services, funerals/weddings as needed. 2-4 hours per week or more as needed. The Candidate would be a member of the parish staff.

Salary will be commensurate with education and experience.

Qualified candidates should have 3 years or more experience directing Catholic music ministry in a parish setting. LCA’s Advancement Director is responsible for development and for implementing an annual fundraising plan, major gift solicitation strategy, and for overseeing the organization’s foundation relationships and grant submission process. This is a full time, senior level position with benefits and a salary range of $90,000 – $120,000, depending on depth of experience and sustained, demonstrable record of raising annual funds of at least $1.5 million. Religious Education Secretary I – St. Michael Parish, Livermore

CCOP is looking to fill a part-time secretary position. The Secretary is responsible for assisting with all church office activity. Working directly with the entire office and pastoral staff, the Secretary effectively communicates and manages incoming visitors, phone calls, mail and other items as necessary. This position requires a person who will responsibly manage church resources and help the ministries of the church meet the needs of the parish.

Facilities Coordinator – Divine Mercy Parish, Oakland

Divine Mercy Parish is seeking a Facilities Coordinator to be responsible for developing and executing short-term and long-term Facilities plans that meet the needs of a merged parish with two campuses. The primary role of the Facilities Coordinator will be to assist the pastor/parochial administrator in effectively managing the needs of multiple facilities that the parish owns and rents at both sites.
