Bookkeeper – St. Mark Parish, Richmond

St. Mark’s Parish seeks a part-time bookkeeper. Under the Pastor's guidance, the bookkeeper will perform a variety of bookkeeping duties in accordance with the existing accounting software program for payroll, accounts receivable/payable, tax reports and other duties as assigned within the scope of the bookkeeping position.  Candidates must have bookkeeping and payroll experience. Office Administrator – St. Theresa Parish, Oakland

St. Theresa Parish in Oakland is seeking an Office Administrator for 25-30 hour per week. This Non-exempt position classified as S-5 includes full benefits. The Office Administrator is responsible for the daily running of the parish front office and providing support for members of the parish staff and various other committees and boards. Responsibilities will include but not limited to: scheduling of the parish facility calendar, coordination of maintenance of the parish facility, maintain parish database, maintain parish sacramental records.

Requirements: Excellent organizational skills, ability to maintain confidentiality, strong computer skills, Word, Excel, or equivalent, experience with or the ability to learn all components of the parish software, excellent interpersonal skills and hospitable presence. Non-Essential Job Functions: Participates in Pastoral Staff Meetings and Staff Retreat days, attend parish functions when possible. A more detailed job description can be obtained from the parish.

Music Director- St. Patrick Parish, Oakland

St. Patrick Parish in Oakland is seeking a part-time Music Director. Talented music professionals with excellent communication and organization skills, strong keyboard skills, vocal technique and choral conducting skills, knowledge of Catholic liturgy and familiarity with the Roman Missal and Lectionary are encouraged to apply. Bachelor’s Degree in Music and experience preferred. The Music Director will develop and direct the adult choir and be responsible for scheduling volunteer cantors.

This is a part-time, 2-4 hour/week position with participation at one Sunday Mass (10:30am) and one weekly rehearsal. Holy days, prayer services, funerals/weddings on an as needed basis. The Music Director will be part of the parish staff. Salary Classification is M-1 and placement on the scale will be commensurate with education and experience.

Bookkeeper II - St.  Catherine of Siena Parish, Martinez

St. Catherine of Siena Parish is looking for a part-time bookkeeper. The candidate must possess strong computer skills - experience with PDS, Quickbooks, Excel, an understanding of basic accounting principles and excellent organizational skills. Bookkeeper is responsible for maintaining the financial records of the parish by accurately recording the day to day financial transactions. The Bookkeeper provides timely and accurate financial information to the pastor, business manager, and finance council, and ensures fiscal responsibility in parish operations. This position is classified at S-5 according to the Diocesan guideline pay scale for parishes. This is a part-time (15 to 20 hours), non-exempt position, without benefits.  Practicing Catholic with experience in a Catholic parish preferred.

Director of Music Ministry - St. Perpetua Parish, Lafayette

St. Perpetua Catholic Community in Lafayette, CA is seeking a Director of Music Ministry for 30 hours a week. This exempt position, classified as M1-M3 includes full benefits. Seeking talented music professional with excellent communication and organization skills.  Energized parish of 1400 families seeks candidate with strong knowledge of the Roman Catholic liturgy, an informed understanding of Vatican II and utilizing a variety of musical styles. Bachelor’s Degree in Music or the equivalent in education and experience. Music Director will develop and direct adult choir utilizing volunteer singers and develop children/youth choir.  Candidate will also be responsible for scheduling volunteer cantors. Participation needed for four weekend Masses, holy days, prayer services, funerals/weddings, concert series.  Candidate demonstrates proficiency on both Rodgers three-manual Trillum Organ and Yamaha Grand Piano.  Candidate would be a member of a collaborative parish staff.

Salary will be commensurate with education and experience.
