Pianist - St. Raymond Parish, Dublin

The St. Raymond of Peñafort parish in Dublin has an opening for a pianist at two weekend Masses, and possibly some weekly rehearsals.

Applicants should be proficient in classical and contemporary musical styles, be experienced in playing Catholic Masses, and possess good sight reading skills. Familiarity with organ manual technique and registrations will also be helpful.

Program Assistant School for Pastoral Ministries – Diocese of Oakland

The Department of Faith Formation and Evangelization is looking for a Program Assistant for the School for Pastoral Ministries / Escuela de Ministerios Pastorales (SPM/EMP).  In conjunction with the Bishop, the mission of the Diocese of Oakland and the Director of Faith Formation and Evangelization, the Program Assistant will provide direct services to the SPM/ EMP.  This position is responsible for assisting in communication, consultation and support for academic and student affairs.  This is a part-time, temporary position for 6 months.  For a complete job description click here

Groundskeeper – St. Lawrence O’Toole-St. Cyril / St. Paschal Baylon Parish

The Groundskeeper will be responsible for maintaining the physical plants of a merged parish with two campuses. The primary role of the Groundskeeper will be to ensure that the exterior landscape at the parishes’ two campuses is beautifully manicured and inviting to parishioners and guests. The Groundskeeper will report to the Facilities Coordinator and will perform the duties of hauling equipment, mowing, raking, and watering of the grounds, and other simple building and ground maintenance duties for the parish. Facilities Coordinator - St. Lawrence O’Toole-St. Cyril / St. Paschal Baylon Parish, Oakland

St. Lawrence O’Toole-St. Cyril / St. Paschal Baylon Parish is looking for a Facilities Coordinator. The Facilities Coordinator will be responsible for developing and executing short-term and long-term Facilities plans that meet the needs of a merged parish with two campuses. The primary role of the Facilities Coordinator will be to assist the pastor/parochial administrator in effectively managing the needs of multiple facilities that the parish owns and rents at both sites. The Facilities Coordinator will engage and supervise outside contractors and may personally perform a variety of semi-skilled maintenance duties related to the physical operations of the parish’s facilities.  This position requires a working knowledge of facilities concepts and terms, as well as excellent project management and communication skills. Bilingual Receptionist – St. John the Baptist Parish, San Lorenzo 

St. John the Baptist Parish in San Lorenzo, is looking for a part-time bilingual (English/Spanish) receptionist to assist with general reception and secretary duties and provide support to the Parish Clergy.  The candidate must be able to speak, write, read and translate in both, English and Spanish. Candidate must have strong computer skills including internet and email usage and be adept in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word and Excel programs. 

This position is classified at S-2 according to Diocesan Guideline pay scale for parishes. This is a part-time, 20 hour/week position, Monday-Friday 2pm-6pm, with a possibility of some extra hours during the year. Bilingual, English/Spanish required. Practicing Catholic as well as previous secretary experience preferred.

Most Holy Rosary Church, Antioch - Youth and Young Adult Minister

Full-time minister  to coordinate and oversee young adult, high school, junior high ministries and the Confirmation program in a multi- cultural parish. Must be a practicing Catholic with strong spiritual leadership skills.  Should have a Bachelor's degree with a certificate in Youth Ministry or substantial experience in theology, catechesis, communication, management skills in order to organize and implement large programs. Spanish is highly desirable although not required.

Evangelization Coordinator – Our Lady of Grace Parish, Castro Valley

Our Lady of Grace is seeking a part-time Evangelization Coordinator to oversee and coordinate the faith formation programs throughout the parish.  This person is responsible for working with the Pastor to develop and implement the Evangelization plan for the parish programs. This position has a classification level of M-3 on the Diocesan salary scale. Salary will be commensurate with experience within this classification. The Evangelization Coordinator position is a part-time (20-23 hrs/wk) for 10-12 months a year. The candidate must thrive in a team environment and be available to work most Sundays. Qualifications preferred: Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of Theology, Ministry or Education. Applicant must have at least three years’ experience in parish ministry or related church service and be a Master Catechist or equivalent. Bilingual and/or multicultural experience preferred.

Maintenance Supervisor - St. Patrick Parish, Oakland

Provides direction on overall maintenance and upkeep of the parish rectory, gym, school and church and grounds, including supervision of parish maintenance staff and ensuring maintenance of all buildings.  Maintains the operations of all the facilities on weekdays, evenings, and weekends.  Ensures all policies and procedures of the facilities are enforced.  Resolves concerns, conflicts, and problems of patrons using facilities ensuring that services are provided in a professional and safe manner.  Oversees building security and responds to all center emergencies; ensures patron and staff safety.  Supervises supports and assists maintenance staff.  Conducts regular walk through of the faculty to assist visual maintenance and security.  Complete records and reports as required.  Performs related duties as required.  For a complete job description click here.
