Cook - Institute of Salesian Studies, Berkeley

The Institute of Salesian Studies in Berkeley is looking for a cook.  The cook is responsible for everything relating to meal preparation and production (lunch and dinner), including making up a grocery list, ordering meats, meal and menu planning, cooking and cleanup. These duties are performed for all regular meals, special events, parties and entertaining. Cook is responsible for dining hall. Other duties as assigned. Cook must plan, prepare and serve healthy and balanced meals. The cook oversees all kitchen operations, maintains, safe, clean and sanitary facilities and ensures safe food preparation. Develops and complies with a regular sanitation schedule for ovens, stove, refrigerators, freezers and other appliances, tools and area. The cook ensures a safe and healthy environment.

Religious Education Secretary I – St. Michael Parish, Livermore

St. Michael Parish, located in the Livermore Valley, is seeking a part-time Secreatary I who will be responsible for providing a full range of clerical and administrative functions for the Religious Education Department.  This position will be responsible for greeting and referring visitors, scheduling facilities and database management.  Will be responsible for maintaining all sacramental records associated with children in the program.  Bi-lingual in Spanish is preferred.  Must be a practicing Roman Catholic who is detail oriented, deadline aware with great communication skills.  The Secretary I position will report directly to the Religious Education Coordinator/DRE.  View the full job description here.

This non-exempt position is part-time, 22.5 hours per week and will not include benefits.  Classification for this position is S-4.  Salary is based upon the Diocesan scale and will depend on qualifications and experience.

Secretary - Catholic Community of Pleasanton

CCOP is looking to fill a part-time secretary position. The Secretary is responsible for assisting with all church office activity. Working directly with the entire office and pastoral staff, the Secretary effectively communicates and manages incoming visitors, phone calls, mail and other items as necessary. This position requires a person who will responsibly manage church resources and help the ministries of the church meet the needs of the parish.

Facilities Coordinator – Divine Mercy Parish, Oakland

Divine Mercy Parish is seeking a Facilities Coordinator to be responsible for developing and executing short-term and long-term Facilities plans that meet the needs of a merged parish with two campuses. The primary role of the Facilities Coordinator will be to assist the pastor/parochial administrator in effectively managing the needs of multiple facilities that the parish owns and rents at both sites. The Facilities Coordinator will engage and supervise outside contractors and will personally perform a variety of semi-skilled maintenance duties related to the physical operations of the parish’s facilities.  This position requires a working knowledge of facilities concepts and terms, as well as excellent project management and communication skills.
